Toulouse, France NEWRON SYSTEM, a leading software provider of Building Management control network solutions Europe Wide announced today that SCADA ENGINE and NEWRON SYSTEM have signed an agreement on a mutual software range to expand the BACnet market within Europe. NEWRON SYSTEM chose SCADA ENGINE technology to propose a complete software range for BACnet. from BACnet OPC server to BACnet Web Services. We also propose several BACnet Software development kit for Windows and enlarge the service range with trainings on BACnet technology.

BACnet-Watcher from HHO Automation is a universal tool for easy using, monitoring and logging of BACnet objects without Building Management System applications and configuration. The system makes the collected data of all BACnet-devices in the local IP network via a HTML-Webserver for the network clients available. Consequently it is operating system neutral and user friendly with a standard WEB browser (excellent display with Firefox respectively Iceweasel, Opera or Safari).

Functions and features (abridged). After booting, BACnet-Watcher automatically starts its diagnosis with a network scan of all important features on all devices and their objects. Via COV or periodc polling of selected devices the process image will be updated permanently. On further user levels/ pages a hierachical display of all devices, objects and features as well as a property list per object follows. A clear and easy value representation/change of complex properties, i.e. Calendar-, Schedule a.s.o. is via easy input masks possible directly in the object list. For a plant status or quick error detection the devices and objects with an OffNormal status are highlighted in colour. Plant related using and monitoring will be carried out via a storable favorite lists (free composable objectlists over all devices) Via using menus read out and storing of trendlog-data will be carried out and displayed as a textlist or graphical presentation (trend curves).

The "live building" at Beamish-Munro Hall makes real-time information about building systems and operations available online. Beamish-Munro was designed to demonstrate engineering concepts in use. The live building lab stores data from many buildings across Queen's campus, and each exhibit is monitored in real-time to show how buildings actually work.

Yokogawa Japan decide to use the BACnet Server API from SCADA Engine in their future product range. The BACnet Server API will be used in a Linux based Lon - BACnet Gateway. A unique feature of the gateway is the use of Virtual Devices with each LON device representing a unique BACnet device.
